I don’t know whether you’re my enemy or you’re on my side (for timothydrake)

[ And then it starts raining, because of course it's going to rain tonight, on top of everything else.

Junyoung is coming off his third 12-hour shift in the ER in as many days. He's tired, he's hungry, he lost a patient today and he's upset about that. He elects to walk the ten blocks back to his apartment, trying to shake off some of the day's frustrations, calm his mind to the point where he can sleep.

And then it starts raining.

He mutters a few choice words under his breath, only halfway home. It's a downpour, and he didn't bring anything heavier than his hoodie, which is soaked in no time flat. He sighs, and drains the very last of the orange juice he'd bought from a vending machine on a break but hadn't had time to finish.

There's no point dragging the bottle all the way home, he thinks, so he looks for a trash can or recycling bin. No such luck here on the street, near all these apartment buildings. But there's an alley, and there's a dumpster, and he ducks back there.

Gently he lifts the lid, nose wrinkling at the brief escape of aroma from the contents within. He drops the empty bottle in and lets the lid fall. He's about to turn away, head back to the street, when some small movement catches his attention out of the corner of his eye. Farther back, by some trash cans, what... is that a body? A person?

He stands there a moment, unsure. The lighting isn't the best back here, he's not certain from where he stands. But if there's even a chance, he has to check. He starts walking toward the form on the ground, cautious, alert.
