3. The contrast between losing his first patient who died in the midst of noise and chaos in the ER and losing his grandmother who slipped away quietly while he held her hand.

4. His first kisses: a girl in his high school class, another guy in his pre-med classes.

5. The first time he was able to come out to the waiting area and give a patient's family good news, how they'd cried and thanked him.
